The Future of Housing in California is a number. That number is called the Regional Housing Needs Assessment. There is a RHNA number for every municipality in the state.

Future-Thought’s Mission is to manifest urbanist aspirations with futuristic solutions, and move past the policy and politics directly to the vision, planning, and execution. By providing a platform for collaboration and innovation, we hope to accelerate the development of solutions and move closer to achieving our collective vision for a sustainable and equitable future.

Our mission at Future-Thought is to produce urban planning competitions to develop and present a digital twin that can provide visualizations of solutions and projections to achieve RHNA goals. Through these competitions, we aim to bring together a diverse group of experts and innovators to tackle this important challenge and drive progress towards meeting these goals.

The County Of Los Angeles combined community RHNA is 1,200,000 new homes.

The cost to build to this goal is from 600-900 billion dollars.
